THE LIVINGBRIDGE
Centre for Social EvolutionOnline / Long Distance Courses
The Livingbridge now offers professional development courses online / in long distance format.
No special programs or set up will be needed. All that is required is access to a computer, the internet (high speed access is probably easier but phone-line access should work just fine, too), and an email account. Skype access would be advantageous (Skype is a free online communication program that is downloaded to your computer and allows you to make free Skype-to-Skype calls across the world. For more detail and to download the program go to www.skype.com) but if that isn’t possible, phone will do. Occasionally an art project or such like may need to be mailed or scanned and emailed if you have access to a scanner.
If you don’t have access to a computer but would like to take the course, please contact me to discuss a mail-only option.
Upon registration you will receive an email with the password needed to access the first lesson from this website and detailed instructions where to find that session. Each session includes a written lecture, an experiential exercise to be completed on your own or with a client or colleague, a journal assignment with questions, and a list of suggested reading. Once the exercises and journal assignment are finished you email them to me to receive feedback and the password for the next session via email.
How long you take for each session is up to you. To maximize your learning, completing one session per week is best. I would suggest to not let more than one month pass without finishing a session — otherwise it becomes difficult to keep the flow and the momentum going.
Upon completion of all sessions you will receive a Certificate of Completion by mail or email. The courses qualify for CEU hours with the CPCA. For other associations, please contact your membership office and enquire.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at sabine@thelivingbridge.ca. I’ll get back to you asap.
