THE LIVINGBRIDGE
Centre for Social EvolutionDream Work for Therapists
We all dream. Dreams are the gateway to the soul, its way of letting us know what needs attention. As such working with the dreams of our clients provide valuable insights and new directions for our work with them. It is easier than you may think: it is creative, enjoyable, and informative for both, client and therapist; and it is deeply personal to and inclusive of the client.
This is not a course in dream interpretation and crystal ball reading. Join me for an exploration of the world of dreaming from a psychotherapeutic perspective. In this 15-hour course you will learn:
- About the history and science of dreaming
- Different methods of working with dreams in psychotherapy
- How to guide your clients to find their own dream-interpretation
- How to keep dream work relevant and avoid too literal interpretations
- How to encourage your clients to take dream messages into daily life
- How to use clients’ dream experiences to enhance their life-skills
- How to work with clients’ dreams creatively to explore different choices
Sessions include experiential exercises and meditation. You will be asked to do your own dream-work during this course.
